Vanessa Grimaldi Rachel Lindsay feud

While competing for Nick Viall’s heart on “The Bachelor” Vanessa Grimaldi and Rachel Lindsay had to be separated on the show after Vanessa called Rachel some “extremely derogatory” names, according to a cast member who was there.

The new information comes to us courtesy of “Bachelor” and “Bachelor in Paradise” star Danielle Lombard — also known as D.Lo — who surprisingly did a Reddit AMA Tuesday. I say surprisingly because most former “Bachelor” stars toe the party the line, i.e., the Bachelor is great, we love ABC, producers don’t make us do anything we don’t want to do …  yadda yadda yadda

Well not this time. In Danielle’s tea-filled AMA a Reddit user specifically asked “What happened between Vanessa and Rachel?” And Danielle answered:

“Vanessa called Rachel something that was extremely derogatory. From what I heard it was bad. Vanessa had to be separated for the rest of the show.”

Another fan asked the same question a little while later and D.Lo responded similarly saying “Vanessa called Rachel something that was not very nice at all.”

For those who don’t know, news broke that Vanessa and Rachel had a fight that never aired on TV thanks to Reality Steve who reported it back in February when the episode aired.

“All I knew was that they had an argument in Bimini, girls pretty much sided with Rachel, and Vanessa wasn’t the most well liked girl in the house,” explained Reality Steve on his blog.

As for why such juicy material wouldn’t make it on TV?

“I had my doubts that it would ever get shown knowing 1) Vanessa was engaged to Nick and 2) at the time, Rachel was a serious contender for ‘Bachelorette,'” Steve said.

Looks like Steve was right considering Rachel did become the next “Bachelorette” and Vanessa did “win” her season. But also WTF ABC, if Vanessa said something so horrific she had to be separated from Rachel why let her get away with it? (I mean I know why, it’s a rhetorical question).

Anyway, that’s not all D.Lo revealed (again I am still SO shocked ABC allowed her to do this).

She also talked about her own story line on “Bachelor In Paradise” — in which she was the villain in a love triangle with Dean Unglert and Kristina Schulman — and basically said Dean’s a big fat liar.

“[Dean] contacted me immediately after we left [Paradise] and had told me that he was ‘encouraged’ to say those things on camera,” referring to Dean’s decision to dump her at the end because he was still in love with Kristina (even though he had dumped Kristina to pursue a relationship with Danielle *sigh*).

“We spent close to 5 hours on the phone before I came to a point where I believed him. I honestly think I’m too forgiving and wanted to trust him. But his words and actions continued to contradict each other afterwords and we ended our relationship before the reunion show.”

The take away? Don’t trust anything a hot guy says on reality TV.
