Has Hollywood forgotten about Camilla Belle?
Who is this girl who we only rarely see in Us Weekly and in front of the cameras, but always catches our eye nonetheless?
It’s Camilla Bell. The beautiful 31-year-old Hollywood actress, caught the public’s eye after dating football star, Tim Tebow, but she tends to fly under the radar. Despite her lack of publicity, this Brazilian beauty deserves the spotlight.
Besides her scuffle with T. Swift and her dating past, she keeps it pretty low-key, but here are some things that you should know about the star:
Camilla was named by her mother after a character in the Brazilian Soap Opera “Cavalo de Aço.” The character was played by Brazilian actress, Renata Sorrah.
But her childhood friends just called her Belle, meaning beautiful in most Romance languages, and the beautiful movie star lives up to her name.
Camilla appeared in print ads before the age of one and was starring in films by the age of five. Her later roles include appearances in movies such as “The Ballad of Jack and Rose,” “When a Stranger Calls,” “10,000 BC,” “The Quiet,” “Push” and “Breakaway.”
The lyrics to Swift’s hit song, “Revenge” go, “She’s not a saint/ And she’s not what you think/ She’s an actress/ She’s better known/ For the things that she does/ On the mattress.”
She is supposedly alluding to Camilla Belle after Belle “stole” Joe Jonas from Swift. We’re going to have to side with Camilla on this one. It’s not like T. Swift has ever been #ForTheGirls, anyway.
Taylor Swift making another passive aggressive and dramatic comment at another woman? We’re shocked.
In addition to dating Tim Tebow and Joe Jonas, she has also dated Robert Pattinson and Jake Gyllenhaal. She’s sporting an A+ roster so far.
These men are the guys you find on posters in girls’ college dorm rooms, so you go, girl… we’re not jealous… at all.
“I speak Portuguese fluently, but my grammar sometimes is not perfect. A lot of the time I’m thinking in Portuguese. I speak Portuguese with my mom — we don’t speak English to each other.”
The Brazilian-bred actress grew up in Los Angeles with an American father and a Brazilian mother, so she spoke both languages at home. She says that despite often speaking English, she usually thinks in Portuguese even though her grammar isn’t perfect. Mostly, she only speaks Portuguese with her mom.
There is a little more to this woman than originally meets the eye, and we can’t wait to see what she is going to do next.
