The Electoral College has made it official: Donald Trump has been elected the 45th president of the United States of America.
And now that there’s no hope left for a Hail Mary pass, many celebrities have taken to Twitter to mourn the decision.
ENTITY looks at five stars’ reactions to the official, official results of the 2016 election.
Best case scenario: I’m so wrong & dumb, Trump is an AMAZING president. Wishing and praying to be wrong & dumb for the USA.

“Last Man on Earth” star Kristen Schaal had a lot to say about the results, first forlornly posting, “The bar has been lowered and destroyed.”
She followed shortly thereafter with a bit of a sarcastic tweet, hoping the President-elect will prove her wrong.

Alec Baldwin, who has been mocking the President-elect with hilarious sketches on “Saturday Night Live,” also threw in his two cents. He joked that there was hope for Trump… “If he renounces every position he’s taken and replaces all of his cabinet picks.”
Trump received 2.5 million fewer votes than Clinton, yet he’ll soon be president. Clearly, in a democratic society, this shouldn’t happen.

Electoral College voting. Trump just passed 270 mark. He’s officially President-Elect. Will be 45th POTUS. No. It’s not too early to drink.
— Ana Navarro (@ananavarro) December 19, 2016
Bernie Sanders pointed out that Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton had actually received more votes than Trump. “Clearly, in a democratic society, this shouldn’t happen,” he declared.
And the last word goes to CNN contributor Ana Navarro who was ready to drink away her sorrows, taking to Twitter at 2:28pm to post, “No. It’s not too early to drink.”
