ENTITY reports on Regina Lasko.

If you’re a fan of David Letterman, then you’ve probably heard him give some much due praise to his wife, Regina Lasko.

During an interview with Rolling Stone, he mentions, “I know she’s sick of all my jokes. But she has been excellent company and has readily played along with the nonsense and bizarre stuff that the family has done. And the best part of it all is that we’re still together — when I came very, very, very close to having the whole thing explode on me.”

He, of course, refers to that shocking cheating scandal that outraged audiences and blew up late-night television.

But the one person whose opinion matters most, stuck with him through the good, the bad and the completely humiliating.

So who is Regina Lasko, exactly? Here are five interesting things you may not have known about her.

1 Regina Lasko has worked in entertainment.

Lasko has a history of working as a production manager not only for “Late Night with David Letterman,” but also for the 1991 TV series “Another World.” And in 1989, she also worked for “Saturday Night Live.”

During an interview with “Rolling Stone,” Letterman credits his wife for being very smart. “She worked in broadcasting, so she knows everything I do here,” he said. “And in addition to being a practical combination, we just have a lot of fun.”

How’s that for being a great supportive life partner in the demanding business of entertainment?

2 She and Letterman tied the knot after 23 years of courtship.

Letterman was actually living with another woman at the time he met and started dating Lasko in 1986. But twenty-three years later, the couple wed on March 19, 2009 at a low-key courthouse civil ceremony in Choteau, Montana.

3 She has a son, Harry Joseph Letterman.

In 2003, before Letterman and Lasko became husband and wife, she gave birth to their first and only child.

Following the birth of his son, “The Late Night” show featured a “Top Ten list of reason’s why Letterman was excited to be a father.” He joked that the number one reason is that “there is now tangible evidence that I have had sex.”

4 She forgave Letterman after the infamous cheating scandal.

Letterman’s untimely cheating scandal with Stephanie Birkitt occurred in 2009, the very same year he married Lasko.

Letterman bravely chose to address his audience about the affair with an on-air public apology to his wife. Although the couple was not seen together for months afterward, the decision to acknowledge his mistake and take accountability eventually paid off.

Lasko and Letterman happily posed together on the red carpet, where he received an award at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington DC in 2012. This happened three years after his very public cheating scandal with Stephanie Birkitt.

5 Regina Lasko could be the reason for Letterman’s retirement.

Letterman wanted to work well into his 70s, according to Daily Entertainment News. However, after he admitted to having an affair with one of his staff members in 2009, his priorities changed.

Although the affair took place before he married Lasko, the couple was still together at the time and they both shared a son. As a result of his major slip-up, he chose to put family first and foremost.

Now we see why Letterman speaks so highly of his long-time love, Regina Lasko.
