A Look at the ENTITY Academy Kickoff with Patricia Arquette

The 2019 ENTITY Academy Kickoff began with a bang on June 10, 2019. The 4-week immersive mentorship program kicked off with a luncheon sponsored by SohoMuse at the magazine’s headquarters. Mentees and guests were excited to be joined by this year’s keynote speaker, Patricia Arquette.

Arquette spoke to over 100 interns and guests. Her talk covered topics like life in the entertainment industry and her committment to activism. She also took time to speak on her extensive work with the non-profit GiveLove.

Mentees of the ENTITY Academy had the chance to participate in an intimate Q&A session with the Golden-Globe-winning actress. Questions from the group ranged from inquiries about her involvement in the #MeToo movement, to her personal experiences on film sets.

Joining Arquette was award-winning hair stylist and friend of ENTITY, Tara Smith. Smith works alongside Arquette at the GiveLove foundation. Together, the women hosted a fireside talk for the ENTITY Academy interns.

The ENTITY Kickoff was proud to host a group of high-profile guests. Among the guest list was friend of ENTITY and co-founder of SohoMuse, Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin. Costin played a tremendous role in the execution of the SohoMuse-sponsored event.

Emmy-nominated repoter, Sarah Zapp also attended the event. Today, Zapp works as the founder and CEO of Beyond Board, an organization devoted to diversifying board rooms across the nation.

Other notable guests at the event included: Actress and host, Ione Butler; Award-winning fashion journalist, Merle Ginsberg; and culinary artist Maria Nguyen.

The ENTITY Academy Kickoff is just one ENTITY Mag’s exciting events this summer. ENTITY guests and interns are looking forward to meeting with over 40 speakers over the course of the summer.

Some of the exciting future speakers include: writer for Modern Family and Blackish, Jessica Poter; Former head of Christian Dior Beauty, Pamela Baxter; Lead Strategist at Edelman, Sybil Grieb; Award-winnning poet, Gina Loring; and filmmaker, conservationist and entepreneur, Susan Rockefeller.
