Anna Kendrick said so herself … 2016 has kind of sucked. So to help those who are suffering with Donald Trump’s victory and other traumas, she has belted out a triumphant song for surviving the year – and it’s now trending.

The “Into the Woods” actress and singer serenaded Stephen Colbert’s audience Wednesday night with “I’m Still Here” from the Broadway show “Follies.” She sang the song, which opens with the line “Good times and bum times,” in typical “Pitch Perfect” style.

“It’s just one of those songs that make me feel empowered,” she told Colbert. “Like we’ve been through it.”

And what a year it’s been for Anna Kendrick.

To balance out the stresses of the election, she’s had the joy of writing her first book, the memoir “Scrappy Little Nobody.” For her fans who just can’t get enough of her regularly witty Twitter posts, this book offers a more detailed look of the star’s self-deprecating humor.

So if you’re feeling down about the current state of the nation, maybe let Kendrick’s voice or entertaining stories cheer you up.
