Benedict Cumberbatch encounters many unusual creatures in his hit movie role as “Doctor Strange” – but no one quite like Donald Trump.
Perhaps that’s what prompted him to tell the story of “The Big Orange Monster” when he stopped by James Corden’s “The Late Late Show” last night.
In the CBS show’s latest viral comic highlight, the star tells his fellow Brit a scary bedtime story all about the U.S. election, which ENTITY recreates here.
“Once upon a time in a land called America … there lived a lady who wanted to rule the kingdom very much,” Cumberbatch begins. “Some would say too much.”
This lady, wearing a beige jacket, beige pants and beige shoes, gets lost in a scary forest while on a journey to the White House.
This scary forest was haunted by trolls, a fox that delivered bad news and computers with emails.
On her journey, the lady also encounters a “terrifying creature,” The Big Orange Monster, who swallows whole those who are not like him and threatens to build a “big giant wall” to keep boys and girls from entering the land.
However, the lady’s journey was not over yet, Cumberbatch tells Corden, who snuggles under his blankets, wide eyes fixed on “The Hobbit” star.
Tucking in Corden’s blanket, Cumberbatch turns to the camera and announces, “If any future monsters wanted to say that boys and girls aren’t equal, Americans would know the lady with the beige trouser suit made it through the scary forest and passed the Orange Monster and all the way to the beautiful White House.”
Pointing to each viewer behind the camera, Cumberbatch urges each man and woman in the kingdom to vote this Election Day. He adds, “For as long as you do, no one can tell you this election was rigged.”
