Abbi and Ilana give us so many relatable moments that entire episodes could just be titled: “SAME.”
Given that they’re basically us – broke in Brooklyn versions of us – we created a quick list of the perfect GIFs that won’t even require accompanying text. Social media and texting are hard. Here are the GIFs that make it easier.
This Ilana GIF came from the Hillary episode when she volunteered at the presidential candidate’s Brooklyn headquarters. It could be used for any situation you want to pledge allegiance to, such as helping your fave celebrity win a contest or accepting a job or task from someone.
This open-ended GIF works for anything that gets you in the mood. Just make sure whoever is on the receiving end knows how to take it.
This “Broad City” GIF could be used for anything you’re excited about. Did your favorite actress get casted in a new show? Did your favorite artist finally release a new single? Did your best friend save you a seat in your packed classroom?

Similar to the GIF for item three, this response works perfectly for exciting situations. However, it also works when you’re in a party mood.

Here’s the infamous “Broad City” smile GIF. This situation has probably happened to 90 percent of women because, for some reason, some men think we’re supposed to walk around with smiles plastered on our faces at all times. Sure.
This GIF doesn’t only work for this situation, though. It’s a general middle finger GIF, so if someone just pissed you off or your friend is being a jerk – this GIF works just as well.

Unlike the other GIFs for bad situations, this Ilana crying GIF actually came from a seriously depressing situation. Ilana doesn’t really cry. She’s usually an endless ball of “Yas Queen.” However, this scene came from the moment it finally hit her that Lincoln was moving on to another woman.
So accordingly, this GIF would probably be best used for legit bad situations. College has plenty of bad situations.
This fact blew our mind. The names of all three of these fruits are so misleading. Although we posed a super specific situation, this GIF works for any “mind blown” moment. It also works for moments when you feel betrayed. Like when your boyfriend eats the last slice of pizza.
You know, something super general like that.
This comeback surprised us just as much as it surprised Ilana. It’s a rare moment for Abbi to randomly go off on people like this, but she killed her response.
Be like Abbi, eviscerate someone’s soul if they’re acting like a douchebag. Then … profusely apologize for also being an asshole.
We all have these moments. Sometimes, we just don’t have time for fun. Adulting can slurp the life out of anyone. That’s when best friend time comes around to pump the life back into you. Only your true friends know how to bring out your inner early 2000s Missy Elliot and Lil’ Kim.
Juice cleanses might rinse the toxins out of your body, but they also slowly kill your will to live. This GIF works perfectly for moments like these. Or you could use it as the Taylor Swift version of this moment for surprising situations.
Some people are boobs people, others are butt people. It’s the way of the world. However, if you know you like big butts and you refuse to lie anymore to fit in with the boobers – this is the perfect GIF for you.
This “Broad City” birthday meme has to be one of our favorites. It’s classic Lana. “If the place can fitteth it, thou shalt stick your finger in it” probably acts as a pillar of her life.
