Betsy DeVos is now basically a real-life Cersei Lannister from “Game of Thrones.”

And it’s not just because she has Lannister-level gold — and may or not not have used it to buy herself a position in power.

No, the much-maligned Education Secretary was literally “shamed” while out in Washington, D.C. today, and it was straight up out of “Game of Thrones.”

She inadvertently reenacted Cersei’s (Lena Headey) unforgettable “walk of shame” – though clothed, thank god – as a male protestor outside of Jefferson Academy followed her screaming “shame, shame!”

Everyone’s new hero played the role of the memorable Septa Unella (Hannah Waddingham) – aka “shame nun” – as he repeatedly shouted “shame” at Donald Trump’s controversial cabinet pick as she raced to her car with a guard by her side.

For those how missed it, in the popular HBO series, Queen Cersei had to do a “walk of atonement” after being arrested by the Faith Militant on charges of adultery, incest and regicide.

She was stripped of her clothing, her hair was cut short and she was made to walk through King’s Landing while Septa Unella shouted “shame” so that the citizens could see her confession and penitence.

DeVos had stepped out in D.C. because the teachers union requested a meeting so they could make sure that she knows they support public schools.

The billionaire heiress has been criticized for having no connection to public schooling, or really, to the education field in general.

She reportedly later found another entrance into the school after being chased away from the first one by protestors.

DeVos later issued a statement on the incident, saying, “I respect peaceful protest, and I will not be deterred in executing the vital mission of the Department of Education. No school door in America will be blocked from those seeking to help our nation’s school children.”

Only three days into her new position as Education Secretary, and it’s safe to say that things have gotten off to a rough start for Betsy DeVos.
