For those of you who watched the presidential debate last night, you got another look at the drama following the presidential campaigns. Throughout the evening, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump consistently attacked their opponents’ personal and professional lives, creating what USA Today calls “one of the most contentious debates in presidential history.”

One of the topics discussed that evening was Trump’s most recent scandal, in which a video reveals him talking to Billy Bush about groping and sexually harassing women. According to moderator Martha Raddatz, this video has “become the single most talked about story of the entire 2016 election.” When Trump was asked to respond, he mentioned his apology from earlier in the week, but also referred to the banter as “locker room talk.”

However, as CNN reports, “Professional athletes grew irate at the insinuation that similar lewd remarks were commonplace in men’s locker rooms.”

In New England Sports Network’s (NESN) video above, they share some of the Tweets athletes posted in response to last night’s debate. Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver Chris Conley, for example, says, “Just for reference. I work in a locker room (every day) … that is not locker room talk. Just so you know.”

Another athlete, former Olympic hurdler Queen Harrison, also argues (via CNN), “’Locker room talk,’ ‘Boys will be boys,’ ‘Harmless banter.’ These are not valid excuses for behavior. Never have been, never will be.”

To see what other people in the world of sports have to say, watch the video above or visit CNN’s article, “Not ‘Locker Room’ Talk: Athletes Push Back Against Trump’s Remark.” And for those of you who missed the debate, here is ENTITY’s recap.
