ENTITY explores who Eudoxie Mbouguiengue really is

She may not be well known, but she’s not to be ignored. Eudoxie Mbouguiengue is the definition of inspiration, an immigrant who overcame adversity to find success. Mbouguiengue was born May 14, 1986 in the village of Gabon. She’s a mother of three, a loving wife and an inspiration to women across the globe.

1 Entrepreneur and Philanthropist.

Mbouguiengue should be most known for her non-profit organization, Unspoken Angels. The organization’s mission statement is, “to support, educate, inspire and empower young ladies of the United States and West Africa, as it provides safe and comforting environments, infused with positive initiatives for females who have experienced verbal, mental and sexual abuses.” She seeks to educate the public on the issue of women’s abuse and empower women suffering from it.

Her story is inspirational. Not only did she survive abuse, but strives to create something good from her hardships.

2 Mother.

One quick scroll through Mbouguiengue’s Instagram and you immediately learn that she’s a caring and devoted mother. Your heart warms at the proud images of her family, both adopted and biological.

A part of being a mother is facing the real threat of miscarriage, a taboo topic in society. She revealed earlier this year that she had a miscarriage.

“This year didn’t necessarily start off right for us. I had a miscarriage and needed to have surgery. It was very easy to complain and self pity but I refused to let the enemy win,” She wrote on an Instagram post dated May 14, 2018.

Society sweeps the conversation surrounding miscarriages under the rug. Women feel their associated shame and despondency is a private burden to carry. Yet, women with platforms like Mbouguiengue combat that stereotype by speaking out on sensitive topics, normalizing it in our everyday rhetoric. Giving women the courage to speak out and validate their struggles and emotions impassions Mbouguiengue.

3 Survivor of abuse.

Mbouguiengue holds her organization Unspoken Angels near to her heart because she’s also a survivor of verbal, mental and sexual abuses. Rather than letting her experiences cower her, she stands with an admirable strength. She seeks to empower other women who have undergone similar experiences.

“There are few things of more importance to me than to reach back to young ladies who have experienced abuses and be able to help them deal with the hurt, betrayal and feelings of inadequacy that I too have suffered in association with those abuses. This non-profit agency is a vehicle to let young ladies know they are not alone and there is life after abuse,” she said in a statement for Unspoken Angels.

Mbouguiengue is a role model and source of inspiration. Despite her arduous past, she continues to grow and succeed with resilience. She has a loving family and has built her own company. She’s humbly grateful for all that she has. Mbouguiengue is an image embodying the possibilities of happiness to be found beyond their suffering for women who also experienced abuse.

4 Immigrant.

Mbouguiengue was born in a village in Gabon in West Central Africa. After struggling through years of poverty and abuse, she immigrated to the United States knowing next to no English. Despite this, she succeeded academically, achieving both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

Her story is a celebration of the American dream. It lauds ideals that people suffering can seek asylum in this country and thrive no matter their background. Mbouguiengue is an immigrant who studied and excelled, who raised a loving family and started her own company. Her opportunity and life in the U.S. brings good to the country by inspiring hundreds of women.

5 Author.

On top off her many achievements, Mbouguiengue’s also an author. She wrote Unspoken Angel: My Story Through Her Eyes, an inspirational book about her experiences in helping comfort others. Again, Mbouguiengue shows an unwavering determination to help others who have had the same experiences. No matter her success, she never forgets her past.

Mbouguiengue is now known as Eudoxie Bridges after marrying famous rapper Ludacris. Despite her many accomplishments, she’s often referred to as simply ‘Ludacris’ wife’ in the media. She’s more than just a wife, she’s an empowered woman to be admired and respected.
