Are you the kind of woman (or man) who loves politics and can’t get enough of the commentary surrounding this year’s Presidential Election? Or do you prefer entertaining comedy that makes you laugh until you cry? Whichever genre is your favorite, you’ll get the best of both worlds by watching this video from The Daily Show, which features Lewis Black instructing millennials on why they should vote. Be warned: It’s super funny (and has a few choice words) … but it’s also frighteningly true.

What exactly does Lewis Black talk about in this five minute skit? Some highlights include:

  • In 2012, only 55 percent of the electorate went to the polls. More Americans saw the movie, “Taken 2.”
  • Many women and men aren’t voting because they don’t think “anyone is qualified.”
  • Many voters are also not voting because “it’s a lot of trouble” to get to the polls.
  • Some millennials are more motivated to vote for the legalization of marijuana than the next President of the United States.

Although you certainly shouldn’t take everything Lewis Black says seriously, he does raise several good points. Regardless of whether you prefer Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump – or you don’t like either – part of your civic duty is to participate in the 2016 Presidential election. Be one of the #Womenthatdo and vote this year!
