Gabrielle Union remembered fond memories of working with co-star Heath Ledger on the beloved 1999 comedy “10 Things I Hate About You” during an appearance on Thursday’s episode of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live.”

Union recalled her humorous introduction to Ledger, who tragically passed away in 2008 from an accidental overdose, saying he was was just “this mysterious 19-year-old.”

Newcomer Ledger had only done one project back in Australia prior to landing “10 Things” opposite Union.

“Nobody had really heard of him,”  the “Being Mary Jane” star said.

The actress then revealed details of a rooftop party where cast members (at least those of legal drinking age) stayed up all night.

“We walk in, and he’s just got this wild hair… He’s 19, but he’s got a dad drink,” Union joked, poking fun at the star’s old soul as she added that “his girlfriend at the time was, like, 38.”

“He was such a man, such a gentleman.,” the actress gushed. He was “great, warm, funny… a doll baby.”

Union praised the rest of the “dream” cast as well, which included Julia Stiles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Larisa Oleynik, David Krumholtz, Andrew Keegan, and Susan May Pratt.

“We had a lot of fun,” she said, revealing that the cast had eaten dinner together every night. “I thought all movies were like that.”

Ledger went on to gain acclaim for performances in Brokeback Mountain (2005) and Monster’s Ball (2001). He passed away while working on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009), and later won a posthumous Oscar for his work in The Dark Knight (2008).
