Your favorite space squad is blasting back in Marvel’s humor and action-packed “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.”

The newly released teaser trailer is loaded with everything audiences loved from the first movie. From the classic rock music to the witty jokes to the same star-studded cast, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” looks to be delivering more of the same movie magic when it goes on release in May 2017.

The new movie will feature returning leads Chris Pratt (Peter Quill),  Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) and Bradley Cooper (Rocket). Karen Gillan is also set to reprise her role as the blue-skinned, cyborg assassin Nebula.

However, as the trailer above shows, it looks like Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) with his beady black eyes and limited vocabulary of “I am Groot” will be stealing the show. Fans like what they see of the trending video judging by all the positive buzz on social media.

The original movie won stellar reviews and great box office numbers when it released in 2014, grossing $772.8 million worldwide. If the sequel does as well, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” will be one of the biggest hits of 2017.

Although the trailer doesn’t reveal much in terms of plot, Peter Quill’s (aka Star-Lord) leadership skills will really be put to the test in the sequel. “As firmly established in Gamora’s final lines in the first film, he is who the rest of the Guardians are now looking to for guidance as they go on to further adventures,” reports Cinema Blend. In addition to his transformation into a mature leader, Star-Lord will be dealing with a personal conflict: learning about his father and deciding whether or not he can trust him.
