Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid are both slaying the 2016 modeling world with tasteful elegance. Despite being in the same industry, their interviews and social media posts emphasize support of each other’s successes. Yet with both women nominated for the same “International Model Award”, will the competition stir a little friendly sibling rivalry?

The Fashion Awards, hosted by the British Fashion Council, released their nominations today for the ceremony slated December 5. According to The Cut, the Hadid sisters also face fierce competitors Kendall Jenner, Adwoa Aboah and Lineisy Montero.

A win for Jenner could also cause some tension within the Hadid circle – Gigi is BFFs with the Kardashian-Jenner celeb. Interestingly, Vanity Fair reports that Jenner is also semi-related to the Hadid clan due to a complicated family tree.

This trending “International Model Award” is a up-and-coming category, much like Bella’s career. While Gigi got her start in the modeling world at only two years old, Bella only joined the ranks four years ago at age 16. (It should be noted, however, that Hadid’s mama bear decided to remove Gigi from the industry as a child – she emerged back in the business in 2012.)

Still, both beauties have been killing it in the industry with impressive runway shows, cosmetic campaigns and magazine covers according to the video above, courtesy of Nicki Swift. The video also delves into more background on the Hadid sisters, including their family history, birth names and similar taste in men.

Although The Fashion Awards – formally the British Fashion Awards – could present a threat to their relationship, it’s not all bad news for the style icons. This year the pair is set to strut the Victoria Secret Fashion Show together. Instead of competing for the stage, they will (figuratively) walk hand in hand down the sought-after runway.

ENTITY hopes these two can keep their sisterly bond tight despite the results of the rapidly approaching ceremony. Both #WomenThatDo are strong and stylish in their own right and deserve to share that time in the spotlight. Good luck, girls!
