While we’re all about inspirational women, we can’t deny our love for modern boy bands like 5 Seconds of Summer, One Direction and Big Time Rush. However, James Corden from “The Late Late Show” has had enough of today’s boy bands and vows to bring back the classic “five guys together: the cute one, the funny one, the nice one, the other one and the maverick who refused to play by the rules.”

And in order to accomplish this mission, Corden wasted no time getting together with the Backstreet Boys and singing the band’s classic song, “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” for some quality entertainment. According to Corden, real boy bands have “matching outfits, synchronized dancing and way-over-budget music videos.” To show just what he means by this, he jumps in with the celebs as he starts singing the line, “Am I sexual?” He’s dressed in matching boy-band fashion and has even practiced BSB dance moves.

It seems like James Corden’s singing practices during “Carpool Karaoke” is paying off because he blends in with the Backstreet Boys. Play the video above to watch Brian Littrell, Nick Carter, A.J. McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson and James Corden show millennial boy bands how it was done in the nineties.
