Jamie Dornan smacked down rumors that he was being replaced by Ian Somerhalder in the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” sequels during an appearance Thursday on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“That would be really hard for them to do, considering we’ve shot both of the movies,” the Irish actor quipped. “That’s an expensive mistake.”

“But good luck to him,” said Dornan, who stopped by “Kimmel” to promote the new season of  his Netflix series “The Fall.”

“There’s a sort of energy in the eyes of a ‘Fifty Shades’ fan, that the fans of ‘The Fall’ just don’t possess,’ he said, after sharing that he could tell the difference between those who enjoy the popular film versus his TV series.

“It’s like a hunger. You can sort of see it and smell it,” Dornan said, before admitting that while flattering, the attention can be quite scary “if it’s in a pack.”

Unfortunately for Dornan, the “hunger” will likely only get worse, as he reprises his role in “Fifty Shades Darker” in February 2017. The third film, “Fifty Shades Freed,” will follow in 2018.
