Kate Winslet is one of the most successful actors of our time.
At age 41, she has already been nominated for seven Academy Awards. She’s also happily married to her husband, Ned Rocknroll. Winslet has three children.
It may not be Titanic 2 level, but we definitely can’t wait to see the Kate Winslet new movie.
Set to be released in fall 2017, “The Mountain Between Us” stars Kate Winslet alongside Idris Elba.
The movie doesn’t involve a cruise ship. But after watching the trailer, there are definitely a few striking similarities between this new film and “Titanic.”
Girl and boy meet for the first time. In this case, it’s Kate and Idris. Plane crashes, they have to fight to survive, then the trailer ends. But we can assume they somehow make it out alive.
Despite the blizzards, avalanches and mountain lions. Or, based on past experience of Kate Winslet movies, she’ll survive but leave the guy hanging. Or, you know, floating from a piece of wood.
Now, no offense to “Titanic,” but that movie was a little over the top. In a good way, of course. But this new movie definitely takes the cake in the drama section.
The trailer shows Kate Winslet falling through a snow-covered frozen lake and sinking down in the water. With a broken foot. But that’s no biggie.
Will Kate ever get to where she is trying to go without a massive disaster? Probably not. If it’s not one of the biggest boating mishaps in all of history, then it’s a plane crash. Transportation: 2, Kate Winslet: 0. That being said, we are definitely still super pumped to see this new movie.
Moral of the story? Never travel anywhere with Kate Winslet. It will most likely not end well for anyone.
