Jimmy Kimmel tricked passersby on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" into thinking a Kardashian was the SCOTUS pick.

Donald Trump announced his nomination for Supreme Court earlier this week – conservative judge Neil Gorsuch – but apparently not everyone was paying attention.

Case in point, during a segment of “Lie Witness News” Jimmy Kimmel told people Rob Kardashian — you know the Kardashian who designs socks — had been nominated to the Supreme Court instead.

And they believed him.

But that’s not all. When asked which “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star should have been nominated as the next SCOTUS — because apparently we live in a world where this could be a thing — participants overwhelmingly voted for Kourtney Kardashian.

“Out of all the Kardashians, she seems to be the one with the best grip on life, on reality,” explained one man who endorsed the mother of three and, perhaps, hadn’t caught up on the news in awhile.

He wasn’t alone. Another interviewee threw in her vote for Kourtney as well, saying she was “the only one that has half a brain.” Oh the irony.

Prior to airing the segment Kimmel marveled that seven people in a row not only believed that Rob Kardashian had been the SCOTUS pick, but felt comfortable sharing their opinion on the choice.

Like one woman who, when asked about the fake decision,  said “Honestly, I was a little shocked, a little taken aback, but I look at it as whatever happens, happens for a reason.”  Really America?

Rob Kardashian was a good sport about "Jimmy Kimmel Live" jokingly naming him as a SCOTUS pick, Entity reports.

Rob Kardashian seemed to get a kick out of the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” sketch naming him a SCOTUS pick.

Troubling implications aside, Rob Kardashian certainly got a kick out of it, posting a clip from the show to Instagram with three laughing emojis.

And hey, Kourtney could always test out the political waters when Kanye runs for president in 2020.
