Although many people probably remember Lady Gaga for her infamous outfits and bold music, the celebrity’s new album, “Joanne,” reveals a more vulnerable artist.

“[There are] two sides of me. There’s the side of me that is a true rebel and another side of me that is my father’s daughter,” Lady Gaga shares with The New York Times. “So [this album] doesn’t lean necessarily in a particular direction, which is why the album title is ‘Joanne.’ This is my middle name. This is the middle and the center of me.”

After releasing her album “Artpop” in 2013, Gaga took a break from the music scene to play her role as the vampire matriarch, The Countess, on “American Horror Story: Hotel.” But now that she’s back, the musician is recreating her image and redefining her style. For fans that have heard her two singles “Perfect Illusion” and “Million Reasons,” they have already heard the deliberate departure from “Artpop’s” previous sound.

And according to her interview with “The London Times” (via E! News), Gaga had a specific audience in mind for the album. “This woman in middle America with hair pulled back and no makeup … [in] a sweatshirt you’d buy at the drugstore, [with] a kid in one hand, Pinot Grigio on the other, two kids running around,” Lady Gaga says. “You don’t know if she’s married. But she’s at my show, crying her eyes out because she feels I’m speaking for her.”

“Joanne” is scheduled to release on October 21st, but many fans have already got their hands on a copy due to its earlier release in Belgium. But for all of you Little Monsters who are patiently waiting for the official release of Mother Monster’s new album, you can pre-order “Joanne” on iTunes.
