Entity shares how Lady Gaga tells people to just be kind in her #ShareKindness campaign.

In this season of goodwill, Lady Gaga is doing all she can to bring happiness throughout the holiday period and beyond.

The “Joanne” singer has partnered with NBC’s “Today ” show to promote its #ShareKindness campaign, which encourages random acts of kindness to help “make the world a better place.”

“Kindness to me is an action of love or a showing of love to someone else,” Gaga told the show, adding, “I also believe that kindness is the cure to violence and hatred around the world.”

She shared the love on a recent visit to Harlem’s Ali Forney Center, a shelter for homeless LGBT youth, where the star listened to the stories of the youngsters there and drew on her own painful experiences to connect with them.

“These children are not just homeless or in need. Many of them are trauma survivors,” Lady Gaga said. “They’ve been rejected in some type of way. My own trauma in my life has helped me to understand the trauma of others.”

According to the star, it’s the “sharing kindness” mantra that helps her deal with mental troubles that come from her own past traumas, which include having been a victim of sexual assault.

“I suffer from PTSD. I’ve never told anyone that before,” Lady Gaga admitted recently. “But the kindness that’s been shown to me by doctors, as well as my family and my friends, it’s really saved my life.”

And since opening up about her personal struggles, Lady Gaga has received a taste of her own kind medicine. On Twitter alone, the singer continues to receive a flood of support and encouragement from her fans.

One of the LGBT youth she visited even told “Today,” “Lady Gaga’s act of kindness today was a reminder that love still exists and that there’s still some for me.”

With her platform, Lady Gaga is using her fame for good. “I am no better than any of those kids and I’m no worse than any of them. We are equal. We both walk our two feet on the same earth and we’re in this together,” the multi-award-winning singer said. “As a world, our suffering from war and children who are homeless … Kindness is the way to becoming more harmonious and ending all those things.

“Do one kind act before the end of the year,” Lady Gaga added. “Just be kind. The act itself is free and it’s priceless.”
