Rihanna (DJ Khaled, Bryson Tiller and Baby Prodigy Asahd) blessed us last week with the single “Wild Thoughts.”
The track also featured some familiar music from Santana. It got us over at ENTITY thinking what goes into a topic like Rihanna net worth? She’s had a great year so far.
Forbes listed her as making about $36 million dollars as of June 9 of this year. But if you don’t know where all of that money is coming from, ENTITY magazine is going to tell you.
Queen Rihanna is worth an estimated $230 million dollars according to Celebrity Net Worth. In comparison to other celebrities, that’s about $120 million less than Blessed Goddess Beyonce‘s net worth (congrats on the twins). Rih rih’s net worth is $140 million dollars more than her ex Drake.
Since the real interesting info is the source of the moolah, let’s get into it.
Rihanna’s last album “ANTI” dropped in January of last year, but that doesn’t mean the flow of new music stopped then. “Wild Thoughts” already has over 31 million views on YouTube, despite having been out less than a week.
She’s featured on Kendrick Lamar’s track “Loyalty” from his April 2017 album, “DAMN.” Future’s album “#Hndrxx” featured Rihanna on his song, “Selfish.” Music definitely accounts for a large portion of Rihanna’s net worth, but that’s not all.
Rihanna made her acting debut in 2012’s “Battleship.” Although acting appearances are rare for Rih, she does make the time to occasionally participate in the ‘craft.’ Her latest appearance on screen was the “Bates Motel” adaptation of the iconic roll of Marion Crane.
Janet Leigh originally performed the role in 1960 film “Psycho.” When Rihanna’s episode aired, Crane’s appearance came with a twist. You can see Rihanna next in “Valerian and The City of A Thousand Planets” as well as “Ocean’s Eight.”
Back in 2014, Puma announced Rihanna as their new creative director. Since then their sales have seen an upswing. Rihanna’s unique style has always been a topic of conversation. Even Zendaya cherished the gift of Rihanna’s shoes so much, it took her a year to prepare to wear them.
One day I, too, hope to be worthy enough to wear the regalia of royalty on my feet (Size 10). They don’t just do shoes, though. The cheapest thing in the collection is a choker ($30) whereas the most expensive item is a tiered, long jacket (a steal for $3,400).
I’m not gonna lie, $3,400 is wildly expensive, but that jacket is photo shoot in a field of flowers fabulous.
Artists often team up with companies to sponsor their albums and tours. Before the release of “ANTI,” Rihanna teamed up with Samsung in a $25 million dollar deal. Other sponsors for the ANTI World Tour were American Express and bedfellow, Puma.
In exchange for backing the ANTI World Tour, Samsung got exclusive Rih Rih video content. Event sponsorship is a growing industry. It’s no surprise that Captain Rihanna is riding that wave.
Endorsements are different than sponsorships in that a sponsorship backs a particular project. Whereas an endorsement involves an individual being paid to promote a product or service.
Rihanna has plenty of these endorsement deals, even reportedly outdoing Beyonce in this field. Rihanna endorsements have included Christian Dior, Stance stocks, Jeep, Mac, Covergirl and, you guessed it, Puma. According to Racked, Rihanna had the most celebrity selling power as of 2016.
