With the return of beloved ‘90s TV shows and trends such as Twin Peaks, Full House and chokers, nostalgia of the ‘90s is hitting us hard.

So, if you’re looking to relive the best of the ‘90s, here are some underrated ‘90s TV shows that deserve more love.

1 “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” (1996-2003)

Sabrina is an example of one of the first completely badass and empowered young women in TV at the time. Her daily high school drama was relatable, but her life was also way cooler than ours would ever be.

Sabrina effortlessly juggled school, boyfriends, an evil high school bully and being a teenage witch all at the same time. She learned to master the power of magic without letting a single hair in her perfect bob fall out of place.

2 “Saved by the Bell” (1989-1993)

The “Saved by the Bell” squad was the original squad goals. We loved the show because watching someone else’s high school career helped us escape the monotony of our own school days.

Watching these six characters grow up put us through a rollercoaster of emotions from joy to heartbreak. Although the college episodes weren’t as great as the high school episodes, this show was exciting and hilarious from start to finish.

3 “All That” (1994-2005)

Out of all the ‘90s TV shows, “All That” is the least talked about today. The show was a Nickelodeon version of Saturday Night Live, but with a ‘90s humor that lied in senselessness. In one regular sketch, Kenan Thompson sat wearing a raincoat in a bathtub and spoke strange, random phrases in French. No one ever understood the point of the sketch, but we all died laughing anyways.

4 “The Nanny” (1993-1999)

Fran Fine’s voice was the voice of my childhood. Fran Fine exemplified and broke stereotypes of Jewish women in America all at the same time. The stereotypical Jewish desperation to get married helped her grow into the independent and quirky woman we all came to love.

5 “Sister, Sister” (1994-1999)

Honestly, why don’t more people still talk about this show? Real-life twin sisters Tia and Tamera Mowry starred as twin sisters who were separated at birth. Although the plot is similar to Disney Channel’s “The Parent Trap,” “Sister, Sister” came first. So, without this show, “The Parent Trap” might have never existed. Ultimately, the show gave viewers a look into an untraditional family.

6 Kenan and Kel (1996-2000)

This show was the epitome of the weird humor that Nickelodeon was going for at the time. Kenan came up with get rich quick schemes and Kel was his sidekick. Despite having every plan foiled, they never gave up on their dreams. While the show was one of many about quirky high school teens getting into mischief, Kenan and Kel’s dynamic was unlike any other. If you watched even one episode of the show, you can probably already hear Kel saying, “Aw, here it goes” in your head.

If you’re looking to relive the ’90s, these shows are the best start to immersing yourself back into the time of bleached hair and windbreakers.
