The trailer for the new Spider-Man movie is trending as superhero fans get their first look at “Homecoming.”

This time, newcomer Tom Holland will star as Peter Parker, the high-school superhero struggling to balance his two identities. Although the movie isn’t swinging into theaters until July 7, 2017, Holland’s portrayal of Peter Parker is already being hailed as one of the most believable versions yet.

Robert Downey Jr. even dished about Holland’s portrayal of the well-loved character. “I’m good friends with Tobey [Maguire], so I can’t play favorites here, but that Tom Holland guy is something else,” Downey said of his co-star.

Holland made a brief appearance as Spidey in last summer’s “Captain America: Civil War” but “Spider-Man: Homecoming” will be the British actor’s first time carrying a whole movie as the webslinger.

Also working alongside Holland are a list of fantastic women, including “One Life to Live” star Laura Harrier.

Harrier will be starring as Peter Parker’s love interest, Liz Allan, who is briefly shown in the trailer. Although Harrier only has a few credits in her resume, the new Marvel film may be her push to stardom.

Also to make an appearance is actress and singer Zendaya as Michelle, one of Parker’s classmates. Zendaya’s character, who pokes fun at Parker in the trailer, appears with no makeup on, frizzy hair and plenty of sass.

“My character is like very dry, awkward, intellectual,” Zendaya said. “And because she’s so smart, she just feels like she doesn’t need to talk to people.”

But despite Michelle’s personality, Zendaya also said that she is fascinated by her character. “To me, she is very cool because she’s deep. She’s always thinking about something, always reading. I like that.”

“And I also like that I don’t really have to do anything for hair and makeup. I just get to walk in and walk out,” she added.
