Troian also excels a producer and writer of riveting small films, and Patrick is doing well as a photographer and a co-producer of “Suits.”
This television show thrives off of characters who are intimate in their real lives. Therefore, this show would benefit from promoting Claire Bowden, played by Troian Bellisario, to a recurring or regular character. It would just be an extension of both partners showing up in each other’s shows since Patrick J. Adams also appeared on PLL (Pretty Little Liars).
Before everyone gets up in arms, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Claire and Mike would have a romantic relationship. Pearson Specter Litt recently acquired a new division for low income civil cases that’s run by Mike. Because of this, we would love it if Claire could join the team.
Just last year, both actors tied the knot in a beautifully intimate ceremony. Troian Bellisario’s wedding dress fit her perfectly. And we aren’t talking about size (although that was perfect too). She wore a gorgeous bohemian wedding dress with minimal embellishments and a sun goddess crown that held up her veil.
Troian has always been minimalistic, allowing her natural beauty to shine. This makes her choice for a minimal wedding very true to her bright, down-to-earth nature.
This same idea could be said for Troian Bellisario’s wedding ring. Her husband knows her very well. Although he has the funds to get her a huge rock to take up half of her finger, he knew his future wife would prefer something simpler. Her wedding ring is very large, don’t get us wrong, but it’s also traditionally cut and minimalistic – no miscellaneous colors or diamonds in random places.
And because they know and compliment each other so well, that chemistry translates perfectly on-screen. In Claire, Mike had met someone who could give him a run for his money in pop-culture references, intelligence and morality. The way their characters played off of one another was always a treat to watch.
Not only do Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams have chemistry, so does Claire and the firm. She would be the perfect fit for the large, diverse family. It’s not like this would be a new concept for the actress when you think about all of Troian Bellisario’s siblings. She would make great friendly competition and fit in easily with everyone’s light banter.
Even Mike knows just how smart Claire can be. Rachel tried to cover up the fact that Claire connected the dots about him. However, Mike knew she was smarter than that. And when he went to go visit her at the end of “Mea Culpa,” she even imparted the best wisdom on him, something no one else in the firm had touched on yet. If he loved Rachel, he would not marry her as a fraud.
Pearson Specter Litt needs her because she sees things from a different perspective. It would be amazing to have two smart minds coming together to tackle these cases and teach Oliver how to be a kickass lawyer.
I don’t doubt Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams would have a hard time coming up with a story for these characters.
Claire Bowden as a “Suits” recurring character would open many new doors for everyone. This show has run for six seasons and has told many stories regarding all of the characters. Mike, Harvey, Louis, Donna and Rachel have gone into great detail about their pasts. Many shows start slipping up around this time because they try to introduce more things in the characters’ pasts that often contradict something previously revealed.
With Claire as new members of the team, it gives the show more characters to explore. What made Claire so intent on being with someone who had all of their stuff together at such a young age? Why did Claire not immediately join a huge corporate office?
Both of Claire’s guest appearances, in “Fork in the Road” and “Mea Culpa,” helped develop Mike’s story. And now we can give him another shot at redemption with the woman who gave him the idea to get on the right track. Troian Bellisario’s husband is her best friend in real life. Why not explore that same dynamic in the show?
All in all, we think Claire would be an amazing addition to season seven or eight. “Suits” would get a two-for-one with an amazing actress and new, interesting stories.
But whether or not “Suits” creators decide to bring her on, we wish Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams a happy marriage and an amazing start to the new chapter of their lives.
