ENTITY shares the top five "Jane the Virgin" quotes.

“Jane the Virgin” is a incredible show with strong Latina women sharing a family bond like no other on TV.

The show follows the life of Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) as she gets accidentally inseminated by the specimen that was actually meant for the person in the next room. All Jane wanted was to go in for a regular check-up, but, nope, she ends up pregnant.

The situation gets even crazier, because it turns out that the sperm came from Jane’s boss Rafael (Justin Baldoni). Uh oh.

As the show continues, it follows everyone involved in Jane’s life. From the crazy relationship her mom and dad have, to her Abuela (Ivonne Coll) dealing with her immigration status, the bromance between Rogelio (Jaime Camil) and Michael (Brett Dier), how much Michael loves Jane and the Rafael and Marbella craziness.

Over the past three seasons there have been ups and downs. Today, we chose three of our favorite quotes.

With “Jane the Virgin” season four not due until October, we’ve decided it’s a perfect time to get into our “Jane the Virgin” feels.

1 Strong Jane

“I just needed to prove I can do it myself, because I’m going to have to do things myself now! And I know you’re here, but still, there are some things I need to do on my own. Okay? As a single mother. Because that’s what  I am. And I didn’t see it coming, Abuela… I just wanted to know I can do something on my own.”

This was heartbreaking.

During season one, episode 20 of “Jane the Virgin,” everyone’s hearts broke.  When Jane went to the doctor with Rafael, the doctor told them that the baby was breeched. Basically, it means that the baby is upside-down, and in order to have a natural birth, the baby needs to be turned.

When Jane gets home, she burns moxibustion which is supposed to hep turn the baby. This was one of the at-home techniques that her doctor told her to try. During the burning of the moxa though, Jane falls asleep. Prior to this Rafael breaks up with her because he thinks that he is failing and disappointing Jane.

During the fire, Abuela comes in and starts yelling at Jane. Abuela becomes annoyed that Jane didn’t ask her for help. This leads Jane to start crying and saying that she didn’t see this coming. She never thought that she was going to be a single a mom, and yet here she was about to do it.

2 Michael, the romantic

“If not for that recital and that burger, I might not have ended up on the doorstep of a drunk, twenty-one year old girl. That’s not just a series of coincidences, it’s destiny. And I never doubted you were mine. And never doubt that all I want, forever and always, is for you to be happy.”

The only time I cried harder was when Michael passed away.

In season three, episode 20 of “Jane the Virgin” is when this gut-wrenching event happens. Prior to Jane and Michael getting married, the priest told them to write love letters to each other. In the episode there’s a flashback of Abuela speaking to Michael where he practices his vows in Spanish. IN. SPANISH. THE TEARS CONTINUE.

Jane went on a crazy adventure trying to find the letter. She thought of all of the places where Michael could have hidden it. She went back to her old home where she thought that he could have hidden it. When it wasn’t there, Jane’s heart broke. But, later the people that live in the house were able to get a hold of the previous tenants, and she finally got the letter.

Michael is still giving us all the feels, even after his death.

3 Rogelio, the father figure

“I have this feeling in my chest now. It feels kind of warm. But also it wants to explode or something. I don’t quite understand what’s…”

This happened in season one, when Jane first referred to Rogelio as “dad.” This was such a heartfelt moment because it was the first time that she referred to him as that. Moreover, this happened when Abuela got hospitalized and everyone was feeling anxiety course through them.

Jane begins to see that Rogelio has his flaws, but he was trying to be there for her. Plus he wasn’t there just for her, he was there for the entire family. In addition, sure, at first he didn’t really know how to step into the role of a dad, but he tried. He thought that he could buy her love. Jane explains to Rogelio that they will take things one step at a time.

“Jane the Virgin” had tears in our eyes almost every episode. And, we’re pretty sure that that won’t change in season four. So, get the snacks and tissues ready.
