Forget cats – Zoey Deutch’s holiday squad includes different furry friends. Although Zoey is the daughter of Hollywood actress Lea Thompson and director Howard Deutch, she is a bit of a country gal at heart.

During the holidays Zoey would visit Montana with her family and greet the llamas there, which she jokingly describes as “weird people.”

When asked what her holiday experience was like growing up with famous parents, Zoey had a less than glamorous answer.

“We had a lot of really cool llamas [in Montana],” she told People. “They spit on you, it’s a really great experience … I know you were expecting like a Hollywood answer but llamas on Montana is my answer to that.”

She also grew up on a farm in the Valley outside of Los Angeles surrounded by animals. “Just an L.A. farm girl … super relatable, I know,” she admits to Jimmy Kimmel.

Her most obscure pet? An African grey parrot named Rosey. Zoey claims that the species is highly intelligent, but Rosey uses her brain in an annoying away. “Our bird has actually focused all of her intelligence on mocking me and my laugh,” she said.

It also turns out the parrot is also high-maintenance. Rosey has a coffee addiction which is served in a teacup with three cashews on the side. “If we didn’t [give her coffee] she would attack us. In the morning she has to have a cup of regular coffee, no sugar, extra hazelnut,” Zoey shared.

While Zoey grew up on the farm scene, she has followed in the footsteps of her parents with her acting career. Previously she joined the cast of the movie “Bad Grandpa” working alongside Robert De Niro and Zac Efron.

She stars in the upcoming comedy film “Why Him?” which is released Dec. 23. But her animal upbringing seemed to affect her wardrobe, as the actress consistently wore animal onesies to the film set.

“I would show up every Friday in a different animal onesie,” Zoey told “Today.” “I’ve got an owl, I’ve got a flying squirrel, I’ve got a kanagroo complete with a baby in the pouch …  I have way too many, it’s a shocking amount.”
