Let's battle the battle scars.

You were young! Impulsive! You are not to blame. Unfortunately, skin is very good at holding a grudge.
Luckily, several companies are working hard to create remedies for acne scars, ranging from creams to oils to miniature needles. Along with being diverse in product-type, the treatments for acne scars cover a range of prices.
We’ve compiled a list of some of the cheapest yet effective products available to renew the bond between you and your skin.
Perhaps the most important factor in keeping your skin scar-free is keeping it out of the sun’s harmful rays. When skin is overexposed to sunlight, scars that are already in existence can become darker, thus contributing to more obvious skin marks. Combine sunscreen with other treatment methods for a well-rounded approach to tackling acne scars. Apply sunscreen everywhere, because, ding dong, all skin is worth protecting. However, this sunscreen is particularly great for acne-sensitive areas, because it promises to ward off more breakouts, therefore ending the acne cycle. You can pick it up at a local Target for $8.79.
While the coconut oil revolution may seem fairly new, other companies have been promoting oil for skin care for years. Bio-oil is renown for its ability to assist in easing the appearance of scars and stretch marks. It’s gentle, moisturizing and very affordable. It is available at Target for $7.59.
While it may seem counter-productive to eliminate a scar by putting an even bigger patch on the skin, these patches have proven effective for treating scars. Though most commonly associated with surgical or injury-related scars, these smaller patches are great for the smaller scars that come with acne. They also help keep the sun off your skin, lending a helping hand to the almighty sunscreen. You can buy these little guys for $21.99 at Target. If bodily acne scars are your biggest issue, there are also larger sizes of scar patches available.
You hear Mederma, you think scar treatment. Mederma has created a variety of scar treatments, including gels, overnight treatments and this scar cream. The most magical feature of this cream is its inclusion of 30 SPF sunscreen, reaffirming the importance of keeping scars protected from the sun. It comes in an easily transportable tube, so you can take it with you and re-apply it throughout the day if need be. This is available at Target for $16.49.
Another option for the treatment of acne scars is apple cider vinegar. Many of us have a bottle of this stuff buried somewhere in our pantry, making it perhaps the cheapest method of getting rid of acne scars. If not, it is available at almost all grocery stores across the country and is fairly inexpensive. The reason apple cider vinegar is said to be such an effect tool is as a result of its lactic acid content. It’s important, however, to dilute the vinegar before applying it to your skin, as it can be a fairly harsh product.
If your scars are particularly stubborn (maybe they’re Scorpios, I don’t know), it might be worth saving up to see a dermatologist or an esthetician. However, these are some alternative, affordable options available at convenient locations.
