Khloe Kardashian fully attests that exercise has been the key to her weight loss success. The filming of her weight loss competition show, “Revenge Body,” takes us into her hardcore fitness routine. She told Shape Magazine, “I work out really hard so I can have my champagne and that part of life. I’d rather take longer to lose weight but have fun doing it.”

She admits that exercise was a coping mechanism for her divorce from Lamar Odam in 2016. She told USA Today “I turned to working out, because I needed clarity in my brain and I didn’t know what else to do but go to the gym.”

Now, exercise is the “healthy addiction” in her life. Soul Cycle played a huge part in her healing process and she still regularly promotes it as a workout routine for people looking to improve their bodies and well-being.

Nutrition is where it’s at.

Khloe Kardashian has several natural food and diet aide endorsements, including Flat Tummy Tea. She regularly posts on Instagram about the latest nutrition shakes or juice cleanses to get your diet on track.

The reality star’s nutritionist, Dr. Philip Goglia, told People Magazine that the reality star eats seven small meals a day to stay in tip-top shape. Her meals always include protein, healthy fats, fruits and veggies. However, she does occasionally indulge. For her cheat days, Golgia says, “Maybe she’ll have a slice of cake as dessert or a pizza or pasta dinner, basically whatever she has a craving for.”

On a personal level, she has disclosed that, for her, moderation has been a major factor in her weight loss. She told USA Today that when she deprives herself, then she will binge an entire pizza. So now, she just indulges in a slice to curb cravings.

She is a huge fan of waist trainers. Huge.

Due to the publicity surrounding Khloe Kardashian’s weight loss, she has become the new “it” girl of waist training. She now has an endorsement deal with the waist trainer brand Premadonna, which also sponsors her sister, Kim Kardashian.

In her advertisement-centric Instagram posts, she claims that they have given her a tiny waistline. She regularly mentions in photo captions that they give her a “boost” in the gym.

The reality TV star received widespread feedback from her fans regarding the above photo. Her followers were deeply concerned that Khloe Kardashian was suffering from an eating disorder. Hollywood Life shared that her photos received comments, such as, “You look really sick. Please go to a Doctor.”

Others expressed their disappointment that their favorite Kardashian sister is helping to spread unrealistic body standards for women.

But Khloe attests that her dramatically thin waist was achieved in a completely healthy way.

But do waist trainers actually work?

It honestly depends on what type of result the user is looking for in a waist trainer. If you want a long-term solution to belly fat, then this is sadly not the answer. Us Magazine tried the Kardashian waist trainers. In general, they praised the posture benefits, but critiqued the level of discomfort it entails.

LIVESTRONG also reported that the organ-squishing nature of waist trainers tends to make breathing more difficult. It can also cause lightheadedness and abdominal pain.

But on the flip side, it can suppress appetite and help you keep your form during a workout, as long as you perform a light workout while wearing it.

Doctors across the board have not recommended waist trainers because the benefits are temporary while the consequences may not be. Women’s health expert Jennifer Wider told Self Magazine, “Women who use them have reported difficulty breathing, increased heartburn and indigestion … If worn all the time, there are risks of organ compression.”

The claim is that waist trainers are a one-stop shop to an hourglass figure and a flat tummy. However, this is far from true. USA Today reported that long-term waist trainers actually stunt the development of abdominal muscles and only reduce water weight, not fat. Basically, if you want a quick fix to go to a wedding then check it out. If not, then don’t.

The bottom line?

Khloe Kardashian shows us that waist trainers do work, but they’re not a be-all-end-all solution. Waist trainers are a temporary solution while exercise and diet have concrete health benefits in the long term.

If you want your waist to be “snatched” like Khloe Kardashian, then think about your health first and foremost.
