Orange is the New Black‘s” Crazy Eyes and Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson go toe to toe in the upcoming “Lip Sync Battle” (LSB) episode.

Following the “Orange is the New Black” release, LSB released the statement that Uzo Aduba and Danielle Brooks would be competing against each other for the champion belt and bragging rights!

It’s going to be an amazing episode. We already know it.

The Competition

Brooks and Aduba have great friendship chemistry on-screen, so I can only imagine what their relationship is like off-screen. Both seem very sweet and humble, but competition brings out the best  – or worst – in us.

Since LSB is all about fun, I doubt Brooks and Aduba will do anything less than slay their songs and have a blast doing it.

They’re allowed to get a little tipsy before they have to go out and perform, but I doubt will need any help to let loose and have fun. Chrissy Teigen and LL Cool J always ensure that everyone is smiling and having a good time, especially the performers.

Their Credentials

As I said before, both women are goofy and hilarious. Furthermore, they both have experience in Broadway and have excelled in those careers. Uzo Aduba’s most notable Broadway shows include “The Wiz Live!,” “Godspell” and “Coram Boy.” However, she’s been in eight Broadway shows altogether, so she’s no novice when it comes to singing on the big stage.

Danielle Brooks, on the other hand, has only been in “The Color Purple.” But in her defense, “The Color Purple” is one hard Broadway show to pull off. In her interview with the New York Magazine, she explained that she wouldn’t be going back to Broadway anytime soon. She attributed this break to the fact that musicals are very hard on the vocals, and she’s not the first actress to say this.

The schedules for Broadway shows are hectic and, unlike television, there aren’t multiple takes to get a scene right. There’s constant pressure to make sure you do everything right the first time, and that includes your voice. So, you are giving your 100 percent every night. I can only imagine what that does to a body that isn’t used to such taxing work.

Who Will Win?

Based on their credentials alone, I would say Uzo Aduba will probably take home the belt. However, never count out the underdog. Just because Brooks doesn’t like to do those demanding performances every night, doesn’t mean she won’t burn the house down when she decides to put on a show.

Regardless, LSB is like a fun night out with friends with free alcohol and karaoke. Make it a night to remember, ladies!
