ENTITY reports on sarah hyland quote about feminismPresident Donald Trump’s victory on Nov. 8 shocked millions of Americans, so a lot of people took to Twitter to express their feelings about the election’s outcome. “Modern Family” star Sarah Hyland especially wasn’t afraid to reveal her resistance against Trump.

She posted the tweet the day after the election following the lead of her “Modern Family” costars Ariel Winter and Jesse Ferguson.

Winter tweeted out “America, you have failed. What the actual fuck. Devastating. I won’t recognize @realDonaldTrump as our president, ever. .”

Ferguson also tweeted out “I’ve dealt with bullies my whole life. I’ve been called terrible things. I’ve only come out stronger. I got this. We’ve got this.”

More importantly, Hyland made a statement by leaving the tweet as a pinned tweet to this day.

“Modern Family” co-creator Steve Levitan also took to Facebook to show his dismay towards Trump’s win.

“I’ve been searching for a bright side all day and finally found it, delivered via text from my daughters,” Levitan wrote. “First, Allie (21) wrote begging me to give whatever inheritance she has coming her way instead to help fight climate change.”

He continued the post by quoting the words of his own daughter, Hannah.

“We’ve always known there are men out there who believe they have a right to our bodies. We’ve known by the ass-grabs in dark bars and the sexual assaults of our friends. We’ve always known that there are people out there who believe they are superior just because of the color of their skin. We see their digital breadcrumbs, their anonymous comments, their slurs plastered on the sides of buildings.”

He ended the post by saying, “We’re going to be ok, folks, because our daughters and sons are not going to take this lying down. I’m a proud and heartened dad.  The future is bright.”

This wasn’t the only or last time Hyland went on Twitter to show her true feelings towards the president.

On Aug. 21, Hyland retweeted a tweet of Trump looking at the solar eclipse without protective eclipse glasses. She captioned the tweet with “oh my.”

Hyland clearly disapproves of the president, and she’s not afraid to show it.
