Best Makeup Brands by ENTITY

Women do their makeup for empowerment. With the surplus of makeup brands, it can be hard to decide which one to go with. Luckily for you, we’ve already done the research!

Outgoing And Innovative Makeup: Too Faced

One of the most recognizable brands today, Too Faced has our hands reaching for more and more of their products. Why will this brand slay your day? Two words.

Coconut. Water.

Too Faced has introduced a new ingredient to the foundation community. By adding coconut water to their formula, it has had a positive reaction from their customers.

Model Dukie Thot told Forbes that coconut water is a “skin-loving ingredient.”

Serena Williams told Refinery29 that her cool down routine includes coconut oil.

According to the Too Faced website, coconut water restores moisture to the face to avoid damages. This means it’s a foundation that won’t dry out your skin! Need we say more? We will!

Too Faced is one of the only makeup brands that has a 5-star rating on ULTA. Personally speaking, all my Too Faced products are my favorite. This is definitely one brand you will not be returning.

Quality Over Quantity Makeup: Urban Decay

If you don’t already have a Naked palate, get one. The pigmentation is top-notch and the finished looks are unbeatable.

But you don’t have to trust us about it. Trust Blake Lively, Ashley Tisdale and Debbie Ryan who told People Magazine that they love Urban Decay.

The average price of the best selling products is $33.70

Why will this brand slay your day? The quality of the products. According to Urban Decay’s website, the Naked palette is “often copied” because of how successful the brand is.

Whenever someone claims that makeup can come off in a swimming pool obviously has not had the honor of using Urban Decays setting spray. That product has survived waterparks, thunderstorms, and spontaneous water balloon fights.

ENTITY recommends Urban Decay all nighter setting spray.

If you want makeup that will stay throughout the entire day: Urban Decay is where you should go. Whether you like matte, shimmer, or glitter, they have it all to make you look amazing.

Created by one of the most creative minds of our generation, Fenty Beauty shows the inclusion of all women in all colors. With 40 shades of foundation and 50 shades of concealer, Fenty has been the forefront of a wide range of skin tone involvement.

Their best selling product: Pro Filt’R soft matte long-wear foundation $35. With a survey of almost 4000 people, 81.8% of reviewers gave the product 5 stars.

Why will this brand slay your day? Rihanna.

Rihanna understands that women want to have fun with their makeup and that it should be an extension of our confidence and creativity. Makeup is not to cover up our skin, it’s to make us feel beautiful and comfortable within our own skin.

Slay!

These three brands were chosen by the young women in the Writer’s Collective at ENTITY Academy. We use these brands to express our inner confidence, which is why we want the best. And you should too!
