Three million fans listen to the Australian beauty inform them on what to buy, shouldn’t buy and what they should or shouldn’t do. In her first video, she gave viewers an introduction to her main purpose on Youtube. Today, her content has increased on a weekly basis.

Her most recent video  differed from  her normal beauty hacks. Watch it and gain an aspect into her life in a different, more meaningful perspective.

Her first video was “Natural Looking Makeup Tutorial.” She’s famous for her “no makeup” makeup look. With almost 9 million subscribers, it’s without a doubt that Phan has inspired many women. From trying to learn more about makeup to beauty tips to Halloween looks, she made sure to upload every week.

In late July of 2016, Phan disappeared from Youtube. It wasn’t until a year ago, she reached out to her fans with a video called, “Why I Left.” She explained the great deal of pressure that’s entailed with success and where she traveled on her own to rediscover herself.

“Back then, I was just someone who was showing you how to look more beautiful. Now I want to show you how to feel more beautiful,” she said at the end of her comeback video.

Johnson is most well-known for her epic celebrity transformations, like Jessica Rabbit, Snow White, Angelina Jolie, Edward Scissorhands and more. In an interview with Forbes, she discussed how rising to Youtube stardom wasn’t always easy.

“I feel like when I started we were pioneers in the Wild West, and not much was known about what we were doing,” Johnson said. “So we just kind of learned everything as we went and kind of made up how to do things.”

The Shorty Awards, which honors the best content creators and producers on social media, recognized Johnson for her work. In 2016, Johnson was nominated for best Youtube guru.
