ENTITY Mag reports on products for damaged hair

Dry, damaged hair is no fun. My own heat and color damaged hair has been a cause of insecurity for years.

When I first heard about Tara Smith Hair Care, I was skeptical! How many shampoo and conditioner products had I already tested that claimed to repair damaged hair? It certainly wasn’t my first rodeo.

Nevertheless, I decided to give the line a try.

Cruelty Free Hair Care

One of the biggest selling points of Tara Smith’s Hair Care line is that it is completely cruelty free. Moreover, it is also gluten free and vegan!

The Working Curls shampoo and conditioner that I tried contained soy protein, panthenol, and organic rosemary extract. The soy protein in particular boasted strengthening and nourishing qualities that would improve the overall appearance of hair.

The shampoo and conditioner, designed for curly hair such as my own, is said to be suited for all hair types, including color treated hair. Needless to say, I was suspicious of whether or not the products would live up to their claims.

Shampoo and Conditioner For Damaged Hair

The consistency of the shampoo was different from my usual shampoo of choice. Rather than being quick to lather and smooth, the shampoo was very light and a little watery. I was initially not impressed.

The shampoo was hard to distribute evenly across my scalp due to its consistency. Usually, shampoos that do not contain sulphate often suffer in terms of their latherability. That being said, it did smell great!

Then, the magic occurred. I rinsed the shampoo out and my hair was instantly smoother, softer and shinier.

Surprised by the shampoo’s performance, I quickly scrambled for the conditioner. The conditioner had the same pleasant scent of the shampoo. Also, the consistency was more similar to conditioners I usually use.

I applied the conditioner to my hair and waited a few minutes, excited to see results. Upon rinsing out the conditioner, my hair somehow felt even softer than after the shampoo round!

The Verdict

Overall, I was blown away by the Working Curls shampoo and conditioner. The vegan, cruelty free products left my hair noticeably shinier and softer. They hydrated my hair and were gentle enough that I was able to use them every other day for the rest of the week.

So, as skeptical as I was in trying this hair care line, I am now eager to purchase other products from Tara Smith Hair Care to see what else she has up her sleeve! If you too want to repair damaged hair, this is the hair care line for you.

So, what are you waiting for? Go check it out!
