We’ve already talked about Ivanka Trump’s fake feminism. She’s so transparent from her inane book to her constant defense of her father, I think every worthwhile publication has.

But now fellow celebrities are calling her out. Debra Messing made a direct appeal to Ivanka during her acceptance speech for the Excellence in Media Award at the 28th Annual GLAAD Media Awards this weekend.

She received a standing ovation as she jokingly referred to the First Daughter as “Secretary of State” and asked, “Girlfriend, what are you doing?” Messing begged to talk to Ivanka, “one Jewish mother to another.” And we’re here for it.

“It is not enough to simply say that women’s issues are important to you. It’s time to do something. Ivanka, you can change the lives of millions of women and children, just by telling your dad stories about real people who are suffering. Don’t let him separate immigrant mothers from their American-born children. Don’t let him take healthcare away from women who need it. Don’t allow him to make trans kids like Gavin [Grimm] fight in court for their basic human dignity.”

She urged Ivanka to stop just blindly defending her father — you know, because it typically negates everything she supposedly stands for. “Start defending what you say you believe in,” Messing said.

Messing also jokingly promised, “If you get Steve Bannon out of your dad’s office, I bet we’ll put you back in Nordstrom’s.”

She also took a few jabs at Trump, mentioning that there is a “very bad and very orange man in our White House… at least a few days a month.” And as long as he’s in charge, we’re all a target. Well, everyone aside from “unenlightened, straight, cisgender white males.”

So Messing used her acceptance speech as a call to action, urging everyone in the audience to call (202) 224 – 3121, the congressional switchboard in Washington, D.C., every day, to make sure our voices are heard. “We are fighting for the soul of our country,” she warned.

But, on a much less depressing note, Messing also plugged the return of her beloved sitcom, “Will & Grace,” which is coming back to NBC in September. To a roaring audience she shouted, “It is time to Make America Gay Again!”

Now, there’s a MAGA I can get behind.
