Beauty tips can range from a variety of things. From taking care of your hair to taking care of your skin. There’s so much that goes into it! It’s often hard to stick to a specific beauty regimen because of our busy lifestyles.

In today’s society, especially with social media, everyone is all about keeping themselves up and put together and trying different beauty products. Instagram shows numerous people sponsoring so many beauty products that you probably have seen all over your feed.

Regardless of who we are, we all kind of have somewhat of an everyday beauty routine. Every woman wants to feel beautiful! Here are five beauty tips you can try, that’ll (hopefully) fit into your busy schedule:

1. Moisturize

Moisturizing your skin is very important. After you get out of the shower you should always moisturize your skin because the shower’s hot waters strip your skin of its natural oils. The hot water can also cause itching from your skin being so dry.

Another benefit of moisturizing your skin is that it can make your makeup last longer. According to earlycare.org, “You can even apply it as a protective base for make-up. A light consistency moisturizer holds the make-up for a longer period.” Usually, when I don’t moisturize before I put on any foundation, my face feels extremely dry.

2. Sunscreen

Sunscreen, especially in the hotter months is KEY. Sunscreen prevents against the harmful UVA rays, which according to skin cancer.org can cause wrinkling and sagging of the skin.

Even though it’s very important to use sunscreen when you know you’re going to be outdoors for long periods of time, you should also use it indoors.

“Even those who work inside are exposed to ultraviolet radiation for brief periods throughout the day, especially if they work near windows, which generally filter out UVB but not UVA rays.”

It’s important to use a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher to battle those powerful UV rays!

3. Removing Makeup Before Bed

This is one of the most important beauty tips out there! I know after a long day/night, you just want to jump into bed and go to sleep, but don’t!

Sleeping with makeup on can clog your pores and cause you to break out.

Sleeping with mascara and other eye makeup is just as bad. According to the HuffingtonPost, eye makeup can cause irritation, also resulting in bacteria getting in your eyes, which may lead to a sty.

One way to gradually get in the habit of doing this is by keeping makeup remover wipes by your bed!

4. Oil Pulling

This one may sound a little weird, but it’s a good one. Oil pulling is basically when you put oil in your mouth, swirl it around for about 20 seconds then spit it out. It’s mainly known to give you pearly white teeth!

Oil pulling is not only good for whitening your teeth, it is also good for many other things as well. According to Dr. Mercola, “This process allows the oil to ‘pull out’ bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other debris from your mouth.”

There are many different types of oils you can use, but the most common is coconut oil. Besides coconut oil, you can use olive oil, sunflower oil, or sesame oil.

Ayurveda states that “oil gargling to purify the entire system; as it holds that each section of the tongue is connected to a different organ such as to the kidneys, lungs, liver, heart…”

5. Drink Water!

Drinking water is a given!

This is probably one of the most important beauty tips! Water is so important in our lives, water takes up more than half of the human body.

According to uwhealth, drinking water can help rid the body of toxins, keep cells hydrated, and improve skin. Since humans are made up of mostly water, that should be the main thing we take in. Healthline states that we should drink at least two liters of water a day.
