Entity shares four easy ways to handle painful blisters.

There’s nothing worse than being out on the town with your girls and having a night of dancing and fun get ruined by a terrible blister.

Ouch! These four easy steps will help you get rid of your blisters in no time.

1 Apply a Band-aid as soon as you can.

We know that sometimes you can start feeling your shoe rub against your skin and we tend to just ignore it or work through the pain as our day or night progresses.

It’s important to apply a Band-Aid as soon as you can to avoid it getting worse. Trust us, it’s not worth ignoring this step.

Let’s just deal with it now to prevent an even bigger blister from forming. We know those suckers can be so painful!

2 Drain the blister with a sterilized needle.

If your blister is causing some discomfort, doctors say it is okay to drain the sucker out. With caution, this is only to be used IF you are comfortable sterilizing your needle with alcohol and poking it at the edge of the blister.

It will release the discomfort of the fluid absorbed inside of it, and may feel a lot better. According to Everyday Health, Doctor Alan K Mauser DPM, a podiatrist in Louisville, KY suggests, “If it’s a small blister, you can disinfect the area and just pop it and let the fluid drain out. Just disinfect a needle or a pin and pop the blister.”

3 Apply Aloe Vera or an Anti-imflammatory Ointment.

Aloe Vera gel is known to be an anti-inflammatory gel that can start the healing process of your blister rather quickly. Another option would be using anti-bacterial ointments to keep the blister moisturized during its healing process.

This is also a great preventative measure to use just in case you might be breaking in a new pair of heels or favorite flats. If you think it’s likely you’ll get a blister, why not plan ahead and apply an ointment to keep the area moisturized? Better safe than sorry!

4. Keep the area clean and covered.

To prevent infections from happening, it is important to clean the blister with an ointment, as mentioned above, and seal it with a Band-Aid or gauze until fully healed.

Avoid exposure to the sun and do not repeat the activities done with those shoes in the first place until you get proper padding.

Blisters are a terrible way to end a fun girls’ night out, and it is by far one of the most uncomfortable pains caused by shoes that you probably love so much.

It’s hard to accept, like, how can these shoes that I absolutely adore cause me so much pain? Sadly, you aren’t the only one desperately trying to find a remedy to this hassle.

Hopefully these four tips have helped!
