Bermuda is known for its pink sand, blue skies and its signature drink, “the dark and stormy.” But did you know that this little island is influencing, and pushing forward some amazing fashion styles as well? If you’re not following them, its time to set sail on these Bermuda influencers, — and you’ve just gained some new content to put on your radar.

Amber Mapp

Amber Mapp, or most commonly known on Instagram as @goldlockrasta, likes to style up her neutral-colored basic fits for a more simplistic chic look.

Surprisingly, even she gets her style inspiration from Instagram where she saves all her favorite looks into one folder.

As a rising influencer, Mapp speaks about the cons of having a growing following on her social handles.

“You can’t be an influencer, put all of your life out there for everyone to see, then expect people to not ask you about your personal life on ridiculous levels of detail,” she said.

While being an influencer may seem like a glamorous lifestyle, you lose a sense of privacy and boundaries no longer exist.

Chellsy Clifton

Chellsy Clifton, also known as @chellsyglam, identifies her style as “Ultra Glam.” Chellsy considers her style to be effortless. When it comes to her looks, her priorities are ensuring that she is comfortable, showing her uniqueness and making sure the outfit has a wow-factor, overall.

She loves a good animal print but bases some of her styles on her moods. Chellsy finds her fashion style from her surroundings on the island of Bermuda. Despite being quite shy, she enjoys the positives of being an influencer in the sense of helping and adding value to the lives of others.

Chelsea Nizana

Chelsea Nizana, @chelseanizana, is known for her playful and monochromatic looks.

She brings versatility in being chic vintage. Her style comes from trying to embody the girl she wishes to be that day. She started using fashion as an outlet of expression.

Nizana gets a lot of her inspiration from fashion throwbacks, especially the 90s.

When asked about growing your followers as an influencer, Nizana said, “I believe that being approachable is what draws people to you, especially when they can relate!”

“You can have the looks all you want, but if your personality sucks you may lose your audience!”

Her motto is, “I am the vibe,” meaning no matter where she goes she adds value to a room with her personality and style.

Shantia Aiyanna

Daring, timeless, island-girl, known as @shantia.aiyanna, describes her style as vintage with a modern twist to it.

She likes taking a classic and turning it into something fresh but still paying homage to the originals. Her inspiration came about when she would visit her grandma and revisit her mother’s old closet.

She fell in love with the 60s and 90s style. What really motivates her is the strong women that surround her.

“We’ve been through everything but somehow still breaking down barriers, stereotypes and beating the odds. Everything they said women couldn’t do, has been done,” Aiyanna said.

She believes it is important for influencers to look into tourism in their communities, as this can easily influence others to visit. Aiyanna believes there is more to influencing than just clothes and events, and supporting local businesses is something to consider.

She believes in having a positive voice, being genuine and having a good attitude.

While we’re usually focused on the major American influencers, it’s important to focus on the smaller influencers from different countries to open your world and eyes to a whole new style.
