ENTITY reports on Paris Hilton's comeback.

Paris Hilton is getting “hot” again.

After being overshadowed in recent years by Kim Kardashian, her former personal assistant, the star socialite has been preparing a comeback under a different guise.

“I want to be known as a businesswoman,” she tells the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “I don’t want to be known as a reality TV star. I don’t like the way that sounds.”

Paris has been expertly crafting her new image since ending her days on her breakthrough TV show, “The Simple Life” where she had the catchphrase “that’s hot.” First on the music scene as a recording artist and DJ then more recently by stepping up her business interests.

She owns Perfumania, a fragrance giant that sells $200 million worth of perfume annually, manufactures products ranging from handbags to animal clothing and also owns 35 boutiques around the world. With her growing empire, Paris is currently worth more than $100 million.

Now, her previously high-pitched voice is low, controlled and composed. She cherishes her privacy these days and she carefully chooses which events to attend.

Her most recent appearance was at the Art Basel in Miami Beach, where she says she loves going to be “inspired by the art.”

However, despite the serious turn that Paris’ life has taken, she admits that her fans – who range from young girls to gay men to older, retired women – are still her priority. She keeps in touch with them on social media and enjoys meeting them at autograph signings. According to her, interacting with her fans is “an incredible feeling.”

And while Paris is busy doing her own thing, Kim Kardashian has taken the reigns as today’s hottest reality TV star.

Ten years ago, Kim was Paris Hilton’s friend and assistant. “We’d go anywhere and everywhere just to be seen,” she told Rolling Stone in 2015. “We knew exactly where to go, where to be seen, how to have something written about you.”

Then, just months after “The Simple Life” was canceled, Kim’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” aired in 2007. That was the same year Kim overtook Hilton in popularity, partly on the back of her sex-tape scandal with ex-boyfriend Ray J.

Reflecting on her own rise to fame, Kim admits that she knew Paris wasn’t pleased about the situation. “I don’t think she was that happy,” Kim admitted to Rolling Stone. Despite the fact Paris had experience with a sex tape herself, the ex-friends didn’t talk about it.

“I probably would have thought, ‘Oh, my gosh, let me give her advice,'” Kim said of Paris. “But we had no communication. But our friendship had fizzled before that.”

And while the two have had feisty relations in the past, it seems like Kim and Paris have made up since then.

“We’ve known each other since we were little girls; we’ve always been friends,” Paris said about Kim in her Harper’s interview. “It’s nice to inspire people, so yeah I’m really proud of her and what she’s done.”

Paris perhaps has officially handed the reigns over to Kim. Instead of focusing on the drama, Paris is growing her net worth and seeking to inspire other women. “For a long time I didn’t know what I wanted. I just felt like this kid who was never going to grow up, but now I feel like I have,” she also told Harper’s Bazaar. “I want to be a role model for young women who want to be an entrepreneur like me.”
