Save the world and look cute... what more could you want?
I am an absolute sucker for vegan beauty products. So when I found out that POPSUGAR Beauty’s products were all cruelty-free, non-toxic, AND gluten-free, I knew I had to give them a shot!
I am someone who is straight up addicted to moisturizing. You will never catch me with crusty lips. I’ve only ever trusted Vaseline and Blistex to do the job. But it always comes with the sacrifice of having dead-looking lips. However, POPSUGAR’s tinted lip balm changed my life.
The candelilla wax (a great vegan substitute for beeswax), blueberry oil, green tea extract, and hibiscus flower extract all mingle perfectly together to make this guilt-free, nourishing lip balm. And if that’s not enough, it also provides SPF 15 UVA and UVB protection. The balm is available in a range of seven different colors! The color is totally buildable, and each swipe gives you a delicate, sheer, and glimmering tint. Also, it smells absolutely delicious! POPSUGAR Beauty uses their signature Crème Brulee scent in their products.
I’m not going to lie, I was not exactly sold on the packaging at first. The matte white finish, the awkward two blue watercolour flowers, and the logo (in three different fonts) just looked a little off. The applicator looked too sterile and clean for a brand called POPSUGAR. A brighter colorway would’ve been more fit for the POPSUGAR brand.
Overall, the product itself is perfect for when you’re on the go. It’s easy to carry and its color and hydrating qualities are quite long-lasting. Loved the color, especially the subtle shimmer. At $20, it’s pricey for a lip balm. But at the end of the day… I think it’s totally worth the price for something so high quality and made with love!
I’m just not a huge lip gloss girl, but I could not resist the kaleidoscope of colors contained within such a compact package. When I first took the product out of its box, I could not believe my eyes. There were hints of blue, purple, yellow, coral, and pink all in one container. What a bang for your buck! And once again, POPSUGAR Beauty’s cruelty-free, vegan, non-toxic, and gluten-free formula further incentivized me to put this work of art on my face. Similar to the tinted lip balm, this liquid lip is made with healthy and clean ingredients. The gloss contains green tea extract, hibiscus flower extract, and blueberry extract. I usually steer away from lip gloss because I find it too sticky. And if it’s not sticky, it tends to dry out my lips. I had yet to find a non-sticky, non-drying lip gloss. I prefer a hydrating tinted lip balm like the one above. However, to my surprise, the Liquid Crystal Gloss felt lightweight and comparatively less sticky than other glosses I’ve tried. The color on my lips was also a lot more subtle than expected. It’s definitely something I could see myself wearing every day. Also, the gloss has the most wonderful tingling sensation from the delicious mint aroma.
Unlike the tinted lip balm, I found the lip gloss packaging stunning. The matte white cap and clear body showcase the iridescent colors. The packaging does wonders for the product. The design is just so clean and simple, and totally represents the transparency of its ingredients and POPSUGAR Beauty’s philosophy.
