Thick and Thin mascara by POPSUGAR Beauty made me fall in love with makeup again. As the name suggests, this mascara has a thick end for luscious top lashes, and a thinner wand for bottom lashes. So what did we think of this hot beauty product? Let’s find out.

My Experience with Makeup

I’m really not good at doing my own makeup, so after trying for such a long time, I pretty much gave up. The only time I would even dare to try was if it was a special occasion.

But for day-to-day makeup, I’d only stick to a lipgloss, eyebrow pen and mascara. I was always in between mascaras, never really finding a brand that would give me enough volume without making it clumpy. The perfect mascara is a hard balance to achieve.

But then, I tried POPSUGAR’s “Thick and Thin” Mascara, and I fell in LOVE.

What I Adored About It: Where Do I Start?

The two wands. One for thicker application, one for thinner. Together, these two wands enable the everyday look, as well as something for a more special occasion. It’s rare for a mascara to be just right, but the double-ended wand strikes the perfect balance in my opinion.

Also, it is SO easy to use. I know it’s not rocket science when it comes to applying mascara, but I always find that I have to apply setting spray or powder immediately, or stick a tissue under my eyes to prevent any smudging. But the thick and thin mascara requires nothing. Zilch. Just apply it, and off you go, you’re ready for the day.

Next, the long-lasting application. When using mascara, I tend to reapply throughout the day, and carry around make-up wipes to get rid of any remaining specks. This was not the case with POPSUGAR’s thick and thin mascara. I put it on in the morning, and it lasted the full day, even after a swim. So 10/10 for the quality of the product.

The packaging is stunning. The bright watercolors and delicate design add an artistic element to the branding.

What I didn’t Like So Much: The Price

Marked at $25, I question whether it’s worth it. I love the product, but I tend to spend $10 at most when it comes to mascara. However, for me it’s a good enough pay off. The quality of the product and its beautiful design are worth the $15 extra. If you’re looking to splurge a bit on a high quality beauty product, I suggest trying this mascara.

But the price is the only part I had an issue with. I would definitely recommend this mascara to everyone, and I think it’s amazing. However, it is not the product for you if you want a cheap and easy mascara. What you’re really paying for is the quality.
