ENTITY Academy Summer Mentorship Program

The ENTITY Academy Summer Mentorship is filled with amazing people who are extremely supportive and helpful. Coming into ENTITY, I didn’t expect to become as close to as many people as I did.

Here are four things I enjoyed during my time at ENTITY.

Networking

This was probably one of my favorite things I enjoyed during the ENTITY Academy Summer Mentorship . Being able to talk and meet people who want to do, or are already doing what I want to do is inspirational. I always found networking to be important, so learning how to do it effectively really helped me.

Relationship With My Mentors

I was fortunate to have the most amazing mentors who helped me with anything and answer any question I had. Chrissie and Erin were like best friends, rather than mentors. My editor, Silvana, was truly amazing. She has a beautiful soul and you can tell she cares about everyone well being and mental health. Before coming into this program I didn’t know what to expect. I am so appreciative of my mentors, they couldn’t have done anything else to make this experience more enjoyable.

Me And My Peers

Upon coming to ENTITY I didn’t know what I was getting into. Leaving the ENTITY Academy Summer Mentorship, I know exactly why I was here. I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, and I truly believe I was meant to be at ENTITY. I was blessed to come extremely close to two girls that I see as my sisters, Shaniece, and Nasira. These girls helped with so much throughout this whole program and honestly I don’t know where I would be without them. Every mentee was immensely caring. We all had each other’s backs and we weren’t afraid to ask for help or help each other.

Who I Really Am

Entity Mag’s mentorship program has taught me so much about myself. These past seven weeks have definitely changed me for the better. Although this internship was challenging, it made me realize I can do anything I put my mind to. From here on out, I am way more confident and will back up anything I do and publish. Being around this many creative people made me realize that everyone has something to offer the world and your voice really does matter.

So, thank you ENTITY for helping me realize that it’s OK to have many goals and aspirations in life. Thank you for teaching me many aspects that pertain to the workplace and just life, because we know life can be a challenge on its own.

Finally, thank you for giving me the best mentors I could’ve asked for. I am so grateful to have Chrissie and Erin as my mentors, they are so down to earth and definitely know how to put a smile on my face, even though it’s not hard because I’m always smiling.
