If you’re looking for some old school magic in your life, look no further than Bruno Mars’ funky new album “24K Magic.”

Fans are raving about the throwback ‘80s R&B vibe on the new project and that comes as a huge relief to the singer.

While hit single “Uptown Funk” cemented Mars’ superstar status and spent 14 weeks at the No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 spot, the last time Mars dropped an album was four years ago.

In a recent Rolling Stone interview, Mars explained, “Coming off the biggest song of my career, it was super-daunting.” His insecurity left him second-guessing his musical direction. “I don’t know if people are going to love this shit,” he adds.

When he was in the process of creating “24K Magic,” he expressed his struggle in trying to finish one of his tracks. “There’s just something that’s still not happening for me. The groove ain’t right or we’re not doing something on the chorus,” he tells Rolling Stone. “I don’t know the exact math. I’m just trying to figure out why I’m tuning out in certain parts.”

His dedication, artistry and vibe, however, stems from his background. As someone who grew up singing Elvis Presley hits in hotels six nights a week, Bruno Mars explains that he came from “patent-leather shoes, pinky ring [and] processed hair showtime.”

As a result, he became committed to being an all-around entertainer. “This is something I never thought about until recently,” he says. “But because of my upbringing performing for tourists, I had to entertain everyone.”

Now, he’s still doing just that in “24K Magic.” With his seamless combination of ‘80s, ‘90s and 21st century groove, fans praise his newest sound for being different, fun and reminiscent. There’s something in the nine-track album for everyone and Bruno is hugely proud of it.

And he says himself, “For me, this album, I can’t do better.”
