It was the fight heard around the world: Kim Kardashian vs. Taylor Swift. The celebrity feud made headlines everywhere and slowly but surely, T Swift’s sweetheart persona came tumbling down. While Kim K. was trying to defend her husband Kayne West and shed light on some possible T Swift lies, the fight has taken a turn. One of the main questions posed is: Is Taylor Swift going to press charges against Kim?
Well, before you land yourself in a similar situation, here are some major life lessons to learn after taking a front row seat in the battle of the ladies.
They are celebrities. Perhaps the best idea is to just stay out of it. Selena Gomez, for instance, is still suffering from indirectly commenting on the matter. Khloé Kardashian is getting in a few low blows from Chloe Grace Moretz and receiving some major shade from Ruby Rose. Even Abigail (the girl from Swift’s song, “Fifteen”) is also getting in on it. Perhaps everyone should just stay out of it because this fire has enough fuel.

Know the laws. According to US Weekly, after speaking with an expert, Kim and Kanye could face a legal challenge for recording and posting the phone call without T Swift’s knowledge. So, the next time you think of recording something, be sure to know the consequences.
We’ve got to hand it to Kim K – she kept the secret for quite some time, even as Swift claimed she didn’t know about the lyrics and Kanye was portrayed as the bad guy. Sure, it can be argued that Kim was only defending her husband by releasing the video, but perhaps she could have done it a little more elegantly.

Perhaps releasing the recording was the only way to provide proof that Kanye wasn’t the perpetrator, but did you really need the extra sass, Kim? After posting her Snapchat, Kim took to Twitter and posted a tweet: “Do u guys follow me on snapchat? U really should ;-)”
After her Grammy win for Album of the Year for “1989,” Swift threw some very noticeable shade at Kanye West for his song “Famous.” In West’s lyrics, he stated: “I feel like Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous.” As a response, Swift passive-aggressively said during her speech, “There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success, take credit for your accomplishments or your fame.” Ouch.

Through all this, probably the most important life lesson to be learned is that honesty is the best policy. #Sorrynotsorry, Swift. It looks like you’ve been caught red-handed; maybe next time you should tell the truth.
