Entity reports on Niall Horan's announcement of a possible One Direction reunion.

Good news for 1D fans: the boys will be back in action … eventually.

Niall Horan confirmed to UK paper Sunday People that the boy band is not planning on calling it quits for good just yet.

“We will [be] back. We would be silly not to… ridiculous,” Niall said. “At the moment we are all doing our own thing. Harry wanted to do his movie and everyone is just chilling …I don’t think anyone needs to worry about us we are fine.”

The boy band is one of the biggest names in the entertainment business, earning them a No. 1 spot on Forbes’ List of Richest Celebrities Under 30 last year. Unfortunately for fans, the music group put their endeavors to a halt with an indefinite hiatus earlier this year.

Though no dates of their return have been confirmed, the news is still a glimmer of hope for die-hard One Direction lovers desperately wishing for a new album and tour.

While we wait for 1D’s return, here’s a look at how their solo careers are going.

1 Zayn Malik

Alright, so technically Zayn quit the boy band before the hiatus. However, his move into solo territory may have inspired the other four to do the same. His first hit song, “Pillowtalk” has garnered over 600 million views on YouTube and his debut album “Mind of Mine” topped the Billboard 200. If the other four boys have solo careers as successful as his, we may never see a 1D reunion.

2 Harry Styles

Though Harry dabbled in solo songs a few years back, the singer has used his time off to explore another passion – acting. The heartthrob will appear in Christopher Nolan’s film “Dunkirk.” According to Oscar winner and co-star Mark Rylance, Harry’s acting chops are impressive. While you won’t be able to spot Harry in the announcement trailer (*tears*), you catch him in the flick when it is released next year.

3 Niall Horan

Niall may be reassuring fans of the 1D reunion, but that’s not stopping him from pursuing his own music. He announced his record deal with Capitol Records USA and released his first single sans the boys. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest after his song’s radio debut, he said the upcoming album will go back to his roots, “more upbeat [than the single] but that kind of vibe — the acoustic guitar, that kind of feel to it, nice strings.”

4 Liam Payne

While Liam hasn’t released any music just yet, the singer shared a one minute teaser clip of a new song. Like Niall, he also signed a contract with Capital Records and changed his sound, though Liam’s errs on the side of autotune. The preview is definitely a rough cut with a sound subpar to 1D standards, Liam is working with famous folks in the music world – Danny Boy Styles, Ben Billions and Bibi Bourelly – so the song will very likely blow us away.

5 Louis Tomlinson

Louis has been enjoying daddy life during the 1D hiatus. While there is less talk about his solo career, he teamed up with Liam to register a song, “Something That Scares Me About Love,” according to BBC. Though no audio or video has yet been released, Louis did post the Instagram below of him and his son jamming on the ukulele … acoustic version, perhaps?
