Entity Magazine Stands For Women around the world and shares one writers story.

While working here at Entity and dealing with a rigorous writing schedule, I have had to write a whole lot on subjects I had no clue about. Some of those being the positive effects of garlic on the body and another being the cost of Yeezy’s clothes. But I must say that the most interesting topic I learned about was women of the world. Learning about how other women lived outside of the US was fascinating to me. I learned about women who were strong female activists. I learned about women who had to work all day and had no time for themselves or for their education. I learned that girls in some countries aren’t allowed to go to school when they’re on their periods.

Learning all these things, though a lot of them weren’t positive, was an eye opener for me. It got me to see how good I have it in the US but also how strong other women have to be on a daily basis. The plight of women is a real and rough one even if many refuse to acknowledge it. I hope one day that I can do something for those women who have to fight and who hurt and who are unaccustomed to stability. I want to connect with these women more. Learning about these women validates them and that’s why this was my favorite topic to learn at Entity.
