Mentorship July 18, 2018
Bring it on!
I’ve been a prisoner of my own “Groundhog Day” for the past year. Every morning it’s the same routine. Waking up full of excitement, opening job-posting websites and every time my bubble bursted. I lacked the required skills for the position. Finally, the Universe heard my prayers! I received the opportunity to break the vicious circle and master digital media, social media marketing and SEO skills with ENTITY Academy.
Standing on the first step of the gleaming staircase leading to my professional success, I’m ready to show the world what I can do!
Here are 3 things I’m most excited about at ENTITY Academy.
Already infected with the travel bug, this eastern european lives to discover different traditions, customs and foods. Looking at the room filled with the faces that luminously represent the map of the world, I meditate on what we, the mentees, can teach each other from a cultural perspective. I’m determined to learn from my peers. In return, they’ll get access to a famous Ukrainian talent to tell stories, historical proneness to making friends for life and a Slavic take on writing and aesthetics.
My attempts at improving my social media accounts, making a creative portfolio or starting a blog always end with a complete fiasco. Taught to never give up, I usually turned to Linked In courses after banging my head against the wall a few times. Still, resulting with zero hands-on experience. At ENTITY, so far, it’s different. After spending only one hour with a mentor, I already see the light somewhere in that tunnel. I mean, I am writing this in Word Press! That’s got to count for something.
Staying within one’s comfort zone is dangerous. Stepping out of it gives the valuable gifts of personal growth and self-confidence, which are crucial for success. Here, at ENTITY Academy, I envision billions of great chances to crush stereotypes, fight my fears and broaden my horizons.
A FINAL THOUGHT…
While mortified that I might trip and fall, deep inside I know that thanks to ENTITY Academy, I’ll spread my wings and fly instead.
