Valentine’s Day is almost upon us and love is in the air.
So that means any single people still looking to get tied down will be in a scramble to find “the one” before cuffing season ends.
And to do that, you’ll need some serious game, or at least a really good pick-up line. Luckily, a recent reddit thread offered a few tips on pick-up lines so smooth, you can’t help but say yes.

“I was at a party with a friend of mine when this guy comes over with a deck of cards. He insisted on showing my friend his ‘party trick’ and proceeded to have her choose a card at random. After placing it back in the deck and shuffling it, he started laying down cards until he reached 10. He asked her if she noticed anything interesting about the cards, then looked her directly in the eyes and said, ‘It’s my number, call me.'”
“Walking through a crowded train station my eyes met with a man talking on his phone. Not looking away, he said, ‘Sorry, something’s come up.’ Then he snapped the flip phone shut (remember when phones did that?!) and walked straight over and said hi. Hands down the smoothest thing ever.”

Pick-up lines can run the risk of being too cheesy, or even offensive. But the five people above seemed to nail the perfect combination of surprising, punny and sweet.
