Pass the gravy, please.
It’s that time of year again; get ready to answer endless questions from far-removed aunts and uncles about what you’re doing with your life.
If it weren’t for all the pie we plan on consuming, Thanksgiving dinner would be a stressful occasion…and that’s a massive understatement.
But we’re here to remind you of all the delicious Thanksgiving dishes that truly make this the best time of the year.
Turkey, the good old Thanksgiving classic. People who fall under the sign of Aries tend to be very courageous, which is why you dare to be the main dish of a Thanksgiving feast.
You love Thanksgiving because of all the energy at this time of year. Celebrating with family and friends is definitely your cup of tea. You don’t mind when all eyes are on you, and this year, you’re ready to shine.
Stuffing. As a Taurus, you’re known for being reliable. Your friends feel they can always trust and count on you, especially if they need support.
Stuffing is a staple of the Thanksgiving dishes, and the meal just wouldn’t be complete without it. You have a great energy about you, and any get-together with friends is never complete unless you’re there.
Sweet potato puree with marshmallows. Geminis are witty and love to express exactly how they feel. You love to embrace your inner child, and what better way to do that than eating a butter-filled dessert covered in toasted marshmallows (Because whose favorite part of Thanksgiving isn’t the marshmallows)? It’s always a race to see who can get the highest marshmallow-to-sweet-potato ratio before this dish runs out.
Pecan pie. Cancers are deeply emotional people, and this pie will bring back all the great memories of past Thanksgivings with friends and family.
Cancers are sensitive, and you tend to have a very deep connection with friends and family members. You’re truly invested in the lives of your loved ones, and they definitely appreciate your presence around this busy time of year.
Cranberry sauce. As a Leo, you have a bold energy around you. You pack a punch, and some people can find you intimidating. But your true friends who know you best are always by your side.
You normally like to be in the spotlight, and this year you’ll steal the show as the amazing homemade cranberry sauce. You would never settle for cranberry sauce out of a can. You won’t settle for anything but the best, and your desire for prestige inspires your excellent work ethic.
Brown sugar-glazed carrots. Virgos are tender, sensitive people who always pay attention to the small details in life. Out of all the Thanksgiving dishes, a side dish like these brown sugar-glazed carrots is the perfect match for you.
Virgos don’t like to reveal their full selves immediately, and it takes time for you to warm up to new people when first meeting them. But soon people will see that you, much like these carrots, are a true star.
Gravy. Libras love to talk to new people, and you can find common ground with anyone. Much like the way gravy tastes great on all Thanksgiving dishes, you’re not picky and you’d never judge someone right off the bat.
You have an interest in connecting with other people who are different from you, and you love learning new things about yourself. You don’t like letting people down, but don’t let the stress of preparing a Thanksgiving feast get to you.
Pumpkin pie. Scorpios know how to position themselves in a place of fame. You love to be right in the middle of things, and you don’t mind having all eyes on you.
When the pumpkin pie is finally brought out after a long Thanksgiving meal, everyone at the table is immediately excited, even if they are stuffed past capacity. Similar to how people feel when you first enter a room, you know how to steal the show.
Mashed potatoes. People who fall under the sign of Sagittarius love to travel and constantly reinvent themselves. While mashed potatoes can sometimes seem boring and outdated, you always know how to keep things interesting by adding other flavors.
You’re super open-minded, and you don’t get bored easily. Your biggest pet peeve is when people fail to find the beauty in the small things in life.
Cornbread. While this dish might not always be one of the classic Thanksgiving dishes, don’t worry. Capricorns are very determined and ambitious, so you’re definitely the type to risk failure by trying out a new recipe.
But when executed properly, cornbread can be a delicious side dish that goes well with basically anything. You can be sweet or savory, but whatever flavor you go with, we’re sure everyone will love this classic bread dish.
Scalloped potatoes, one of our personal favorites. People with this sign are curious and imaginative, and your friends likely admire your imagination and creativity.
Making scalloped potatoes properly requires time and skill. And let’s be honest: no one knows what the heck it is at first glance. This meal inspired curiosity, which just so happens to be your forte. Make sure your guests eat the potatoes while they’re hot in order to fully experience the flavor of this dish.
Wine. People with the water sign Pisces are generally very friendly and helpful. Wine definitely helps all of us get through a long meal with our family, and it goes well with any course. You’re very sociable, and can be found talking to almost anybody, even those distant relatives that no one’s ever met at the end of the Thanksgiving table.
People under the Pisces sign can pick up on anyone’s emotions, and you’re great at giving advice. So grab a glass of wine and get ready to enter some *interesting* conversations this holiday season.
As we enter the season of stuffing (both turkeys and ourselves alike), we hope we inspired you to fully embrace both the Thanksgiving meal and your awesome self. Happy eating!
